Mr. Tom Allen “Jack” Byrd, 81, was called into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his residence in Natchez, MS. Mr. Byrd was born at Natchez, MS on February 18, 1935 to Mr. Ben Byrd and Mrs. Mary Etta Arnold Byrd.

Visitation will be at Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez, MS on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 10:00 AM till time of service at 12:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church. The graveside service will follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery at Natchez. Rev. Jeffrey Brewer will be officiating the services. Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Byrd was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Navy. He was retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company after many years of service. He loved to spend time hunting, laughing and joking with his friends. He loved his family very much and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Etta Arnold Byrd; wife, Patty Wallace Byrd; daughter, Carman Darlene Byrd; brothers, Dexter Byrd and Bennie Byrd; sisters, Syble Smith, Joann Hollingsworth and Geneva Floyd.

Family members remaining to cherish his memories are daughter, Allison Atkinson and husband Glenn of Natchez, MS; granddaughter, Alyx Eliser and husband Troy of Natchez; grandson, Jacob Atkinson of Wharton, TX; brother, Don Byrd of Sanger, TX and sister, Guynell Hall of Natchez. Pallbearers are Al Hall, Allan Byrd, Ben Byrd, John Jr. Hollingsworth, Tim Hollingsworth, Tom Allen Hollingsworth and Ryan Jamison.

Honorary Pall bearers are Jimmie Brewer, Billy Ray Havard, Roger Arnold, Louie Brown and Members of Wildwood Hunting Club.

A very special thank you goes out to Jimmie Brewer for being a faithful friend for many years.

The family request donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
