NATCHEZ-Graveside services for Bennie Byrd, Jr., 90, of Natchez, who died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Don Byrd officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Byrd was born December 15, 1923 in Natchez, the son of Ben Byrd, Sr. and Etta Arnold Byrd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, James David Byrd, one grandson, Kiley Byrd, one brother, and four sisters.
Survivors include his son, Norman “Bubba” Byrd and his wife, Henry Jo, of Natchez; one daughter in law: Linda Byrd of Brandon; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one sister: Guynell Hall of Natchez; and two brothers: Jack Byrd of Natchez and Don Byrd and his wife, Bebe, of Sanger, TX.
