Brooksie Mason Boaz, 93, of Martinsville, VA, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, at Figsboro Adult Care. She was born in Henry County on Dec. 15, 1912, to James Beverly Mason and Mary Belle Brown Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Estelle Tuggle, Myrtle Wiggington, Allison M. Joyce, and three brothers, Buford Mason, Paul Mason and Noland Mason. She was a charter member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church where she was in the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Surviving are her husband, Harry Boaz of the home; daughters, Barbara B. Riggan and Deborah B. Parsons, both of Collinsville, VA; two sons, Jerry D. Boaz of Martinsville and Richard W. Boaz of Collinsville; one sister, Lois M. Trull of Collinsville; a brother, Cephas Mason of Martinsville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
