Myrtle M. Wiggington, 86, of Waynesboro, and formerly of Martinsville, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at the Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

She was born in Henry County, Dec. 11, 1917, to James Beverly Mason and Mary Belle Brown Mason, both deceased. She retired from Tultex with more than 30 years service and was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Estelle Tuggle and three brothers, Buford Mason, Paul Mason and Noland Mason.

Surviving are two daughters, Martha Jane Alexander of Waynesboro and Elizabeth Ann Clark of Martinsville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Brooksie M. Boaz and Allison M. Joyce, both of Martinsville, and Lois Trull of Collinsville; and a brother, Cephus Mason of Martinsville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Starling Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. David Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at McKee-Stone Funeral Services.
