Beloved husband of Becky, devoted father of 4 daughters, a grandfather and great grandfather, and my Uncle Perk.

I can just see you driving through the backwoods of the Panhandle in that old white Ford truck with "Little Man" the dog as co-pilot. I can hear you call my sister "that little Puss Irwin". Such wonderful childhood memories.

Uncle Perk and Aunt Becky lived in a huge old house with a wide hall down the middle of it, fireplaces in each room, a butter churn in the kitchen, and a pantry with Mason jars of canned veggies from the garden and peach jelly. Since no running water in the house until after 1965, there was an open well with a bucket and dipper. The veranda ran across the entire front of the house and half down one side...and there was a big swing on it. There was a barn with a cow, geese, chickens and sometimes a pig or two. It was a wonderful place to visit for a little girl!
