She was born December 24, 1943 in Plantersville, AL.
Besides her parents William Perkins "Perk" and Rebecca Hopkins Davis of Plantersville, Christine was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Bronson and nephew David McDaniel.
Christine is survived by her husband of 53 years: Joe Baxley; daughter: Valinda Lea Baxley; grandson: Sean Baxley; sisters: Nina McDaniel of Selma; Jo Jones (John) of Pelham, Margaret Hayden of Clanton and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
After graduating from Dallas County High School in 1961, she graduated from Wallace College Practical Nursing program and was employed for several years as an LPN. Since her husband's profession caused the family to relocate, she had many friends around the State of Alabama having lived in seven different cities in her married lifetime. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Selma. She enjoyed reading and being with her family.
Graveside services was held at Plantersville Christian Cemetery following with the interment of her ashes near her parents and daughter's graves.
