Oldest son of Florida Sweat and Silas Thompson, married Clara Wingate in 1935 and had 3 children. He ran a store on the corner of King Street and Madison Ave on the Westside of St. Augustine most of his life. When the sad story is told of his younger sisters being taken away by the State of Georgia, he was the 12-year-old son who carried the toddler and led another brother back to Florida and safety.

People remember him for being ornery old man, smoking cigars, and wearing glasses on the tip of his nose as he was working in his store.

He was named after his father's youngest brother, Will Thompson. Will was living in Silas Thompson's household in the 1910 Federal Census of Nassau Co, FL.
