The funeral service for Clara T. Knudson of the Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea will be 2p.m. Saturday [May 26] at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Hartland, Minn. The Rev. Steve Peterson will officiate. Interment will be in Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. Friday and 9a.m.-noon Saturday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Hartland, Minn., and one hour before the service at the church.
Clara died Thursday, May 24, 1990, at Good Samaritan Center. She was 85 years old.
She was born Aug. 2, 1904, in Manchester Township, Freeborn County, to Christ and Mina (Sibilrud) Thofson. Clara married Carl J. Knudson in March 1925. She was a lifetime resident of Hartland, and the past 22 years was a resident of the Good Samaritan Center. Clara was a member of the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church.
Clara is survived by eight children, Kernel Knudson and his wife Elizabeth of Hartland, Minn., Alert Knudson of Faribault, Minn., Curtis Knudson and his wife Lillian of Eden Prairie, Minn., Ernest Knudson and his wife Arlene of Houston, Minn., Ellie and her husband Charles Becker of Hutchinson, Minn., Janet and her husband Corrie McDermott of Houston, Texas, Linda and her husband Carl Patschke of New Richland, Minn., and Norlie Knudson of Hartland, Minn.; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Viola Cleland of Jacksonville, Fla., Ruby Horan of Delano, Minn., Elsie Enderson of Albert Lea, Minn., Malmin Thofson of Ellendale, Minn., and Alert Thofson of Albert Lea.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband in 1940; three sisters, Marie Madson, Amy Yanke, and Bertha Collins; and two brothers, Hamilton Thofson and George Thofson Sr.
