Resided and enlisted in Montgomery County at age 36, March 5, 1863. Wounded in the left leg on or about May 5, 1863, at the battle of Chancellorsville, VA.
Retuned to duty in Jan.-Feb. 1864.
Took the Oath of Allegiance at Salisbury, NC, June 5, 1865.
Served as a private in Co. K, 34th NC Infantry Regiment, CSA.
