Allen H. Bean, served as a private in Co. D, 14th NC Infantry Regiment. Resided in Montgomery Co. and enlisted at age 33, July 16, 1862. Died in hospital at Staunton, VA, November 26, 1862.

He married Elizabeth Sanders on 27 Oct 1850 in Montgomery County, NC. They were the parents of at least 4 children:

2. Charlotte Margaret (Bean) Cornelison (1855-1898)
3. William H. Bean (1858-1899)
4. Delphia Mahala (Beane) Boone (1859-1881)
