Ava Nell Calvit Zapp, of Longview, Texas passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at a Wichita Falls, Texas care facility. She was 92. She was born July 6, 1925, in the Beaver Dam Community of De Kalb, Texas, to Charles L. and Ruth Phillips Calvit.

She was a Homemaker, a Teacher and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Emmett Buell and Earl A. Zapp; two brothers, Edwin D. Calvit and Joe Ross Calvit; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Pope Calvit.

She is survived by her daughter, Shari Buell of Dothan, Alabama; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Sylvia Calvit of Tyler, Texas; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas
