Also known as "Sadie", she was the daughter of Alexander B. McMurray (of Scottish descent, born in Ohio about 1850) and Mary Louise Houser (of German descent, born in Ohio about 1854). She was a graduate of Ohio Northern University, Ada, OH, was a school teacher, and lived most of her adult life in Warren, OH. Married to Melville D. Ailes, LL.B, M.D., of Shelby County (Sidney), OH. Later divorced and never re-married. Three children: John Ailes of Calif. (born ca.1905), Robert E. Ailes of Warren, OH (born 7/15/1907), & Dorothy Ailes Pete of Maine (born ca.1909). She died at age 83 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren,OH, of vascular complications (bowel infarction) of long-standing insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. See also listing for son, Robert E. Ailes, in this cemetery. (Note: There are 3 villages named Lafayette in Ohio. This one is in the northwest quadrant of the State, just east of Lima,OH.)
