Lifetime resident of Warren, OH. Retired in 1969 from Packard Electric, Div. of General Motors Corp.,after 40 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Past Master of Carroll F. Clapp Lodge 655 F & AM of Warren, where he also served 25 years as Chaplain,& a Shriner and Past Monarch of the Ali Baba Grotto. Son of Melville D. Ailes, M.D. & Sarah McMurray Ailes. One older brother, John (Calif.),& one younger sister, Dorothy Ailes Pete (Maine). Married Donna Marie Cunningham, June, 1936. Divorced April, 1960. Donna later married Joseph Urban. (See grave record of Donna Urban, Palm Beach Co., FL.) Father of Robert James Ailes,M.D.(l2/37), Roger Eugene Ailes (5/40), and Donna Jeanne Ailes (3/43). Married Mae Gilliland, a widow, Sept.,1962. No children from 2nd marriage. Died age 76 of complications of Alzheimer's Disease. (Crown Hill Cemetery is on old Rt. 82 (Warren-Sharon Rd.)in Vienna Twp., east of Warren, & just west of the Rt. l93 intersection, near Youngstown Airport.)
