Funeral services for Don Denton of Doddsville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Bud Conrad will officiate the services.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Denton died of heart failure on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Crystal Health and Rehab in Greenwood. He was 66 years old.

Mr. Denton was the son of the late Herman Jackson and Ruth Jane Holloway Denton. He was a diesel mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include two sisters, Doris Dew and her husband, Carl, of Vicksburg and Julie McClurg and her husband, Morgan, of Carrollton; two brothers, Kenneth Denton and his wife, Linda Sue, of Scooba and Wayne Denton of Greenville; and his beloved dog, Peaches.

Pallbearers will be Andy Dew, Eddie Roberson, I. D. Denton, Freddie Robinson, Dan Tipton, and Morgan McClurg.
