OBITUARY OF ADDYE LOU DODD

Sorrowful last rites were said for Addye Lou DODD at the Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. H. L. Thurston, pastor of the Methodist Church, conducting. He was assisted by Rev. Ward H. N. Gregg, pastor of the First Christian Church.

A mixed choir composed of Mesdames R. P. Hurn, Alfred James, H. L. Thurston, Glen Shrader, Jack Allen, Clifford, Beck, W. E. Foglesong, Robert Lawrence and Miss Moina Caldwell, Mark Burton, Clifford Beck, Spencer Whippo, Lawrence Ellzey, Clarence Neufeld, Vernon Witt and Omar Truax. They sang three songs, "Does Jesus Care", "Look for the Beautiful" and "Away in the Manger."

Pallbearers were Max BOYER, LaRue NORRIS, Vance APPLE, W. C. HERNDON, Harlan HAWK and Charlie KENT. Burial was made in the Ochiltree Cemetery.

Addye Lou died December 21, 1945, at Sanitarium, Texas where she spent the past three months receiving medical treatment for a chronic heart ailment.

Addye Lou DODD was born to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil DODD at Perryton November 18, 1935, and departed this life at Sanitarium, Texas on December 21, 1945 at the age of ten years, one month and three days.

She spent all of her life here with her parents and was an active member of the Methodist church. Addye Lou took a great deal of interest in Sunday School affairs. In ill health during the course of her lifetime which sometimes interfered with her attendance, she would sometimes have Sunday School at home. Despite affliction she was always cheerful and was loved by all her knew her.

It was suggested by her many friends that a Memorial to her memory be placed in the Methodist Church.

She is survived in addition to her parents by one sister, Nancy, and a number of aunts and uncles.
