Cecil H. DODD, aged 79, died Saturday at Ochiltree General Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Boxwell Chapel. Rev. Albert Lindley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Ochiltree Cemetery under the direction of Boxwell Brothers.
He was born on November 19, 1903 in Indian Territory (Oakwood) Oklahoma, the son of Elmer and Grace DODD. He graduated in 1924 and two years later moved to Perryton where he was engaged in the Champlin Wholesale Oil business.
He was married To Nora RICHARDSON on September 01, 1928. They would have two children.
Mr. DODD represented Southwestern Life Insurance Company from November 1941 until his retirement in 1968. During his career in insurance, he received many awards and persisting quality awards.
Active in the community, he served as president of the Perryton Rotary Club and was also active in the Chamber of commerce and the original 400 Club.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; daughter, Nancy LEATHERMAN of Perryton; a sister, Vera Dodd WILLS of Ventura, California; and granddaughter Kay of Tulsa.
