John W. Norris

John William Norris, 79, of 865 22nd died this morning in St. Benedict's Hospital of causes incident to age.
Mr. Norris was born Sept. 24, 1889, in Randolph, Utah, a son of Walter and Roseanaha Parker Norris.
On Dec. 2, 1971, he was married to Elizabeth Benzley in Randolph. She died Feb. 26, 1967.
He had lived in Randolph and Evanston, Wyo., before coming to Ogden in 1927.
He had been emplyed as a carpenter for the Union Pacific Railroad Co. prior to retiring.
He was a member of the 6th LDS Ward and union Pacific Old Timers Club.
Surviving are two sons, William Garth Norris, Ogden; Paul L. Norris, Clearfield; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Emaline Kirty, California.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Lyman D. Perkes officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until services. Burial will be in Washington Heights Memorial Park.
