News was received here today, of the death this morning, of the venerable Eli Sigler, of Hebron, and father of Mrs. George Goff of our city. The cause of his death was the general failure of old age. He was past 93 years of age, and he was an old settler in that region. The funeral will be held Sunday and Mr. and Mrs. Goff will attend.

Eli Sigler, one of Porter county
pioneer residents, died Saturday at his home in Hebron, where he had lived for more than a half century. Mr. Sigler laid out the town of Hebron and for many years was engaged in business there. He was 90 years old and leaves a wife and seven children.
