More research needs to be done here, as I am unsure whether records are wrong, or the gravestone is wrong - the birth year does not match. In researching gravestones etched in El Reno from the 1930s thru the 1950s, at least THREE in my family are inconsistent with known/documented facts, and at least 5 other non-related people have errors. The 1880 Census lists "Arminta" as being 2 years old, but birth month as July (the next month). The date of the census was 01 June 1880. One of the newspaper obituaries listed her age, at time of death, as 51 years, one month, 9 days old. That would put her birth date, including leap years, as 1 June, 1879, so there is a discrepancy somewhere.
