Services held for Auston Sanders April 19th

Last rites for Auston Asuberry Sanders were held April 19, at 2 :00 p.m. at the Winona Church of Christ. Officiating was Rev. Joe S. Hyde.

Burial was in the Bluff Springs cemetery, with Winona Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sanders, a native of Washington County, died at the Tyler Holmes Hospital, following an illness of about six weeks. He was 86 years old.

He was a member of the Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Choctaw County

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma Flemming Sanders, Eupora; nine children, James K. Sanders, New Orleans; Auston R. Sanders, Jackson; Bobby L. Sanders, Winona; Lewis A. Sanders, Daleville, Alabama; Homer D. Sanders, Fort Worth, Texas; Mrs. Juanita Cummings and Mrs. Mary Collen Jones, Greenwood; Mrs. Sue Sykes, Winona; and Mrs. Melba Gates, Lake Charles, Louisiana.

A sister, Mrs. Ida Clark, Florida; a brother, Arch Sanders, Greenville; 27 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larkin Reid, Thomas Johnson, Fred Johnson, Tip Vail, Buddy McNeer, Sam McQuirter, Waymon Ware, and Luther Ware.
