AGED WOMAN DEAD
Following several years of illness of complications, Mrs. Lisette Bechtold, aged 83, died Thursday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.C. Garrison, 417 Susquehanna Avenue, West Pittston. Deceased was the widow of William Bechtold. Pneumonia was the cause of death.
Mrs. Bechtold was born in Germany August 23, 1844. She was an active member of
St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church and was president of the Ladies Aid. Besides Mrs. Garrison another daughter, Mrs. Levy S. Richard of New York City, survives: aslo a sister, Mrs. William Reihl of Philadelphia.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30. Services will be held at the Garrison home in charge of Rev. W.G. Albrecht, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church. Burial will be in Pittston cemetery.

MRS. BECHTOLD DIES AT GARRISON HOME AT ADVANCED AGE
Mrs. Lisette Bechtold, widow of William Becthold, passed away last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.C. Garrison, 417 Susquehanna avenue, in her 83rd year. She had been in failing health for several years. Last Monday she was taken ill and pneumonia developed.
Born in Germany Aug. 23, 1844, Mrs. Bechtold came to this country when a young girl. Mr. Becthold, also a native of Germany, came here first and after taking part in the Civil War returned to that country, married and then returned to this country, accompanied by his wife. Mr. Bechtold died in 1898.
Mrs. Bechtold was an active worker in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pittston, for many years and at the time of her death was president of the Ladies' Adi Society of that church.
Besides Mrs. Garrison, another daughter, Mrs. Livy S. Richard, of New York City, survives, also one sister, Mrs. William Riehl of Philadelphia.
Funeral services will be held at the Garrison home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. W.G. Albrecht officiating. Interment will be in Pittston Cemetery.
