Mrs. Louis Schaeffer, of Mill street, died at her home on Saturday at 5 a.m. The cause of death was the infirmities of old age, the deceased being 74 years of age. She was well known to our people, being the mother of Mrs. William Bechtold, Mrs. A. Hahn and Mrs. Riehl. She was of generous, kindly disposition, and was active in works of charity. The funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. with internment in Hamtown Cemetery. The services will be private.

MRS. LOUIS SCHAEFFER
Mrs. Louis Schaeffer, who had been ailing for some time past with infirmities incident to old age, died at her home on Mill street at five a.m. on Saturday. The deceased was about seventy-four years of age and she had resided in Pittston very many years. She was quite well known and enjoyed the esteem of many acquaintances. Mrs. Shaeffer's husband preceded her to the grave several years ago. Three daughters survive, all of whom are well known residents of this city. They are, Mrs. Wm. Bechtold, Mrs. August Hahn and Mrs. Wm. Riehl.
