'The Choteau Acantha,' Choteau, MT

Services were conducted at the Choteau Methodist church yesterday afternoon for John Victor Linjattie (sic), rancher of the Deep Creek area, who passed away at a Choteau hospital last Saturday. He had been ill for about 15 years. Born in Lapua, Finland, he came to the United States in 1898. He settled first at Stockett and moved to Teton county in 1914, homesteading west of Choteau, where he lived until his death. He married Ida Friend in Finland on July 12, 1912. She survives him, as do two sons, Onne of Choteau and John of Helena and a daughter, Mrs. H. K. (Elizabeth) Burch of Great Falls. Three children preceded him in death, Gabriel, Irene and Sylvia. There are four grandchildren. The Rev. H. L. Engdahl officiated at the Wednesday service. Pallbearers were Archie Hodgskiss, Howard Higgins, George Morris, O. G. Meadows, Oscar Carlson and J. I. Burch. Interment was in the Choteau cemetery.
