Services for Troy Edward Tynes are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Craddock Funeral Home Memzorial Chapel with Dr. Tom Heath officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Grove Cemetery.

Troy Tynes was born Dec. 6, 1919, at Zaneis, to Henry and Ruby Fore Tynes. He passed this life on Oct. 5, 2007, in a local nursing facility. He and Nancy English Tynes were married Sept. 30, 1946 in Odessa, Texas. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Doyal and Loyal Tynes.

Tynes and his wife moved to Lone Grove in 1980 after he retired from the British Petroleum Co., where he worked for many years in the oil fields. He served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his three daughters, Debby Tynes, Lone Grove, Sue Hightower and her husband, Bob, Piedmont, and Linda Biggerstaff and her husband, Larry, Mansfield, Texas; five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
