Funeral services for Billie Joe Richards, 88, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Paul Collins and Rev. Randal Richards of Asbury United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the Lone Grove Cemetery, with the assistance of Larry Biggerstaff, Sonny Richards, Butch Carter, Gerald Bell, Mike McCullers and Terry Bumpass serving as pallbearers.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, where condolences may be sent online at www.hdouglasfuneralhome.com.
Billie J., daughter of the late Henry Edward Tynes and Ruby Lee (Fore) Tynes, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the local hospital in Ardmore.  She was  born May 3, 1929 at Orr, Oklahoma.  A graduate of Lone Grove High School, the class of 1947, she had lived in the Lone Grove and Ardmore area all of her life.
A member of Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church, Billie J. had been a longtime sales clerk at Montgomery-Ward, retiring in 1992.  She enjoyed singing, sewing, quilting, attending Senior Citizen Dances and especially the time spent with her grandson, Darren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Landry Black; four brothers J. V. Tynes, Troy Tynes, Loyal "Wendy" Tynes, infant, Doyle Tynes; and sister, Kawanna "Sis" Gothard.
Survivors include her son, Randal Richards and wife, Deni; daughter, Rita Cope and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Darren Cope, Allison Munson, Michael McCullers, Jennifer Jay, Bailey Black, Tyler Osteen and Katie Morgan; twelve great-grandchildren, her sister, Betty Ruth Bumpass, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Asbury United Methodist.
