Interred June 10, 1901∼Edward Joseph Smith, son of Reuben J. and Hester Tucker Smith, was born on December 6, 1836, in Louisville, Kentucky. He married Eunice Hosea on June 9, 1859, in Clark County, Indiana. They had at least seven children in 22 years. Eunice died in 1938, after delivering their youngest son, and Edward moved in with one of his married daughters. He did not remarry. Edward died on June 9, 1901, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, at the age of 64.
