Avis June Vaughan of Northlake Brownwood, TX, passed away at the age of 84 year on Monday, May 21, 2018 at her residence. Visitation services will be held at Heartland Funeral home in Early Texas on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thursday, May 24, 2018 the North Lake Brownwood Community Church, 3131 Harbor Drive, May, Texas 76857 with Pastor Ron Keener officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Tibbetts, Jeremy Vaughan, Travis Vaughan, Jonathan Tibbetts, Tanner Vaughan, and Jeff Dixon; Honorary Pallbearers will be Andrea Dixon, Sara Vaughan, Bryan Tibbetts, Braxton Tibbetts, and Lance Vaughan.
Avis is survived in life by her 5 children; Lex Vaughan of Coleman, Loy Akens and husband Tim of Abilene, Lance Vaughan and wife Kathy of Argyle, Ladd Vaughan of Northlake Brownwood, LeAnna Lange and husband Ken of Georgetown. They have 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and a very special caregiver, Vicki Robertson.
Avis is preceded in death by her husband Lee Vaughan, parents Alonzo and Allene Barnett, 2 sisters, and a grandson.
