The family story is that Asa Harmon McCoy's wife, Martha Cline, buried her husband in the Cline Cemetery, where her father, mother and grandparents were buried. Martha's parents were, Jacob "Rich Jake" Cline & Nancy Fuller. Martha's brother was Perry Anderson Cline. Martha's grandparents were Peter Cline & Elizabeth Lizzy Riffe.
The Old Cline Family graves were moved when the railroad came through Delorme in the late 1800's. The graves were relocated in the present day Delorme Cemetery near the church and railroad crossing.
MARTHA "PATTY" CLINE (JACOB, PETER), was born 1828 in Pike Co., KY and died November 4, 1907. She married ASA HARMON MCCOY abt. 1850 in Pike Co. KY. [Asa Harmon McCoy was killed in 1864 bya Confederate guerrilla unit known as the Logan Wildcats, a Home Guard unit led by William Anderson "Devil Ance" Hatfield and Jim Vance. Though Harmon had served in the Union army, most of his family, like the Hatfields, were loyal to the Confederacy. Some researchers have linked this event to the Hatfield-McCoyFeud but there is no solid evidence that this event led to the feud which took place years later.
