Ernest was the son of Zechariah Dameron and Margaret Willis (Rucker) Dameron of Amherst County, Virginia. Husband of Minnie Letitia Hodge. Married 18 June 1899 in Rising Star, Texas

E T DAMERON DIES WEDNESDAY
Ernest Tinsley Dameron, 91, retired farmer and long time resident of Jackson county passed away at his home in Eldorado at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 7. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church in Eldorado, at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8th. Rev. G.H. Bishop officiated at the services. Burial was in Odema cemetery under direction of Merritt-Washburn Funeral Home.
Mr. Dameron was born on June 21, 1866 in Bedford Co., Virginia, and was married to Minnie Hodges (sic) on June 18, 1899, at Rising Star, Texas. They moved to Jackson county in 1914.
He was a member of the Methodist church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Survivors are his wife of Eldorado; two sons, J R Dameron of Big Lake, Texas, and E G Dameron of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Melvah Dameron of Hobart, Okla., and Mrs. Nina Myers of Coolidge, Arizona; one brother, Z C Dameron, of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
