ERNEST G. DAMERON
Graveside services were held Thursday, Sept. 23 in Vernon Cemetery for Ernest G. Dameron, 83, of Sapulpa.
Brother Rex Shrum officiated the service. Interment was under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
Dameron was born March 25, 1910 in West Fork, Ark. to Ernest T. and Minnie Letitia (Hodge) Dameron. He received his education in Jackson County and graduated from Midway High School.
On April 9, 1928, he and Edna Lucille Easley were united in marriage in Eldorado.
Dameron was an aircraft inspector for 30 years, working for several different companies including McDonald Douglas. He retired in 1974.
A member of the Methodist Church and Odd Fellows in Eldorado, his hobbies included fishing, sports and his grandchildren.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Tulsa Regional Medical Center.
Dameron is survived by three sons, Kyle Dameron of Tulsa, Michael Dameron of Sapulpa and Joe Dameron of Hominy; one sister, Melvah Wood of Hobart; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
