Mrs. Anna M. Stevens, 36, a lifetime resident of this community, died at the Ottumwa hospital today at 1:15 a.m. She was the wife of Lew Stevens and her home was at 1125 Hammond street.
She was the daughter of Edward and Hilda Carlson and was born in Ottumwa August 4, 1901.
Surviving are her husband; her father, Edward Carlson of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. Julia Keefe of Eldon; four brothers, Charles F., Oscar E. and Gilbert G. Carlson of Ottumwa and Harry J. Carlson of Stafford, Kan.; one niece, Mrs. Donna Ransom of Ottumwa, and two nephews, Stanley and Howard Stevens, Jr., of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1933 and by an infant sister.
The body is at Johnson's funeral chapel pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Short funeral services for Mrs. Anna M. Stevens, who died in the Ottumwa hospital Monday, will be at her home, 1125 Hammond street, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and at the First Lutheran church at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen, assisted by the Rev. Roy C. Leeds. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harry Alcott, Verlin Francis, Spicer Martin, Forrest Lockman, Irvin Swinney and Howard Pinnell.
The body was to be taken to her home at 5 p.m. today.
