Mrs. Claborn was born on Monday, 12 February 1906, to Molton McDonald Watkins and Edith Irene Parker Watkins, in Rising Star, Eastland County, Texas. She was the first of six children born to this union.
She was united in marriage to Enoch Merle Claborn on Sunday, 21 June 1925. Mr. Claborn preceded Edra in death on Saturday, 26 December 1981. They were married 55 years, six months. To their union were born two children: daughter Wanda Merle Claborn and daughter Marian Louise Claborn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Claudia Victoria Watkins Boggs, and sister Opal Juanita Watkins Guess.
Mrs. Claborn is survived by daughter Wanda Merle Claborn Lockridge, daughter Marian Louise Claborn Stover Rogers, brother Clifford P. Watkins, sister Billie Jean Watkins Reeves, and brother Julius Edward Watkins.
Interment occurred at Eastlawn Memorial Park of Early, Brown County, Texas, where she shares a double marker with her husband.
