Ella Eugenia " Gene" Wright Cooper, 91, passed away April 16, 2003. Mrs. Cooper, a native of Honea Path, S.C. had lived in Jacksonville since 1946 and was a resident of Westminster Woods. She and her late husband Mars Davis Cooper founded and operated Poultry Health Services until their retirement. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Riverside Park Methodist Church, San Jose Country Club and the University Club.

She is survived by her daughter, two sisters, Margaret Williams and Eleanor Anderson of Honea Path, S.C., two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Saturday April 19th at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Reverend R. Neil Anderson to officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday April 18th at HARDAGE-GIDDENS Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue. In Lieu of flowers the Family suggests donations be made to the Childrens Home Society, 3027 San Diego Road Jax, FL 32207.
