Mrs. LaVern Marshall Williams, 87, formally of Beverly Hills, Texas, passed away in Corsicana, Texas, on March 15, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the funeral home.
LaVern was born in Wellington, Texas, to the late Lewis M. and Willie O. (Webb) Marshall. She was the baby of nine children and the last surviving child. She held the longest membership in Al-Anon in the state of Texas, holding a membership for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson D. Williams; son, Billy Lon Culver; and son-in-law, Ronald Downing.
Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Downing, and Cecilia Loftis and her husband, Jerry "Bo;" daughter-in-law, Shirley Culver and husband, Steve Wesson; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and and friends.
