Clethal "Keek" Pittman Jones, 99, passed away January 29, 2014, in Corpus Christi, Texas after a short illness. She was born on March 17, 1914 in Province, Oklahoma to George W. Pittman and Virginia Ethel Hopwood Pittman. Clethal held many occupations in her lifetime, but her true gift and greatest joy was caring for others. Over the years she took care of many family members, providing both compassion and companionship to anyone who needed assistance. She was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like gardening, reading, and playing lively games of Mexican Train. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, great sense of humor, her ability to see the good in others, and enthusiasm for living life to its fullest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam N. Jones; sons, Robert L. Jones, Sam N. Jones, Jr.; parents; and ten brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Edwin Jones and wife Shirley; daughters in-law, Karolen Jones, Suzanne Jones-Padgett, Louise (Ed) Quigley, Jean (Bud) Lucas; sister, Hazel Cypert; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Seaside Memorial Park with Interment to follow.
