CISCO -- Charles Stacey Watson, 59 of Cisco passed away Monday January 1, 2007 at Hendrick Medical Center after a long hard fight with cancer.

Stacey was cremated and memorial services officiated by Reverend Baylis Pope will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.

Stacey was born on March 17, 1947 in Roaring Springs, Texas to Frasier and Dorothy (Webb) Watson. He worked as an oil driller. He is a decorated veteran of the US Navy during the Viet Nam War serving from 1965 to 1969. He married Mary Kathleen Denton on September 6, 1990 in Eastland and was a Baptist, he was talented musician and enjoyed playing with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Watson of Cisco; son, Anthony Watson and wife Alicia of Abilene; daughters, Stacey Michelle Morrison of Cisco, Missy Speers of Dallas, Rachel Maxwell and husband Terry of Odessa and Cindy McGee of Eastland; mother, Dorothy Watson of Cisco; sister, Retha Smith of Abilene; grandchildren, Shanleigh Morrison, Savannah Morrison, Kaylyn Watson, A.J. Watson, Mark Allen Speers, Cody Morrison and Preston McGee; niece Cindy Bridges and husband Scott, nephew, Don Allen Bridges, sisters-in-law, Pat, Shirley, Dot and Linda and his special sister-in-law and care giver Charleen. He was preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank the doctors that treated Stacey during his illness. Memorials are requested to be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, District 18 Office, 3301 W. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
