Born in Roaring Springs, Texas on October 29, 1920, she was the daughter of Annie Bert (Marshall) and Stacey Marvin Webb.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a farmer in Roaring Springs before moving to Cisco, Texas. She lived in Cisco ten years before relocating to Abilene five years ago.
She was a member of Crossway Baptist Church in Abilene.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Frasier Watson in 1997; a son, Stacey Watson; her parents and two brothers, Frank Webb and Troy Webb.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her daughter, Retha Ann Smith of Abilene; sister, Margie Morgan of Muleshoe, Texas; four grandchildren, Anthony Watson of Abilene, Missy Spears of Cisco, Cindy Bridges of Tuscola, and Stacey Morrison of Gun Barrel City, Texas; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Oran Rake officiating. A graveside service will follow on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Roaring Springs Cemetery in Roaring Springs, Motley County, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Scott Bridges, Don Bridges, Charles Thomason, Bradley Thomason, and Anthony Watson.
