Services for Mrs. Annie Webb, 78, longtime resident of Roaring Springs, Texas, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 1975, in the First Baptist Church there with Rev. Leonard Sims, pastor of First Baptist Church, Matador, officiating.
Burial was in Roaring Springs Cemetery under direction of Siegler Funeral Home, Matador.
Mrs. Webb died at 5 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 1975, at Hendricks Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Texas, following a brief illness.
The former Annie Bertie (actually Birdie) Marshall, Mrs. Webb was born November 30, 1896, at Waco, Texas. She came to Motley County in 1915 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Marshall. She married Marvin S. Webb, December 10, 1916, and they continued to make their home at Roaring Springs until his death November 28, 1956.
Mrs. Webb had been in failing health several years and was a patient in Abilene for a month. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roaring Springs.
She is survived by two sons, Frank Webb of Red River, New Mexico, and Troy Webb of Abilene; two daughters, Mrs. Fraiser Watson (Dorothy) of Roaring Springs, and Mrs. Lester Morgan (Margie) of Pecos; a brother, Lawrence Marshall, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Ozborn, both of Plainview; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Corky Marshall, Buck Marshall, Lawrence Curtis Marshall, Olan Ozborn, Nolan Ozborn, and Jack Prather.
