Mrs. Mary Allen, 84, died Tuesday at her home near Boyce.
Mrs. Allen was born in Tennessee. She had lived in this community forty years.
Surviving are four sons and three daughters, J. W. Merritt, Waxahachie; A. V. Merritt, San Joaquin, Calif.; F. F. Meritt, Dallas; A. R. Merritt, Ennis; Mrs. C. D. Lisman, Troup; Mrs. Bessie Ticer, Boyce; and Mrs. Josie Lee Ratliff, Dallas.
Mrs. Allen was a Methodist. Funeral services were held here on Thursday. Burial was in Myrtle Cemetery.
