"William Rector "Papaw" Dalton, 66, of Bean Station died Sunday, July 20, at home after a long illness.
He was a member and deacon of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his father, Hubert Dalton, and two infant children, he is survived by his wife, Edith Marie Dalton; daughters, Gladys Heron of Mooresburg and Darlene Hayes of Bean Station; son, Rev. David Dalton of Thorn Hill; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Dolly Dalton; brother, Lemmie Dalton; sisters, Dorie Dalton and Lillie Southerland, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Missionary Baptist with Rev. Bill Manning, Rev. Clarence Wolfenbarger and Rev. Darrel Hensley officiating.
Burial was in Noeton Cemetery.
