Dora Dalton, age 85, of Thorn Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her home. She professed faith in Christ at an early age. She later joined Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Greene Dalton; twin sister, Flora; mother and father, Hubert and Dollie Dalton and brother, Rector.
She is survived by her son, Wayne (Kathy) Dalton of Thorn Hill; grandson, Jamie Dalton; sister, Lillie (Donnie) Southerland of Bean Station; brother, Lemmie (Eva) Dalton of Thorn Hill; special niece, Louise Kinsler of Bean Station; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 5 until 9 p.m.. Friday, July 19 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial in the Mallicoat Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Davis, and the Rev. Dearl (Doc) Hensley officiating. Singers will be The Arnold Dalton Family.
Pallbearers include C.H. Dalton, Jason Kinsler, Ed Dalton, Leonard Dalton, Harold Barnard and Leroy Shelton.
