Funeral services for Patricia "Pat" A. Wanner, age 55, of Watertown, SD will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2007 in the Grace Lutheran Church, Watertown, SD. Pastor Steve Lauricella will officiate. Pat passed away on June 6, 2007 in a hospital in Watertown, SD. She was the widow of Donald Wanner.
Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff at Jenkins Living Center. Active pallbearers will be: Jamie Wanner, Christo Engelbrecht, Ryan Wanner, Steve Beck, Kenny Sheldon, Wayne Johnson, Doug Freese, Wayne Johnson, Chris Sheldon and Doug Beck. Music will be provided by Marcia Jelsma, organist, with congregational hymns.
Visitation will be in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown, SD on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday preceding services at the church. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 12:30 p.m. for a prayer service.
Pat was born on August 16, 1951 at Madison, SD to Virgil and Esther (Schneider) Beck. She attended school in Clear Lake, SD and Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse's aid at Deuel County Good Samaritan in Clear Lake.
Pat married Donald Wanner on October 27, 1973 at Clear Lake, SD. The couple moved to Wyoming and then returned to Watertown, SD. Pat worked at Hardees until MS forced her to retire. Donald passed away in 1987. Pat continued to make her home in Watertown.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, the outdoors, rummage sale shopping, birds, and all pets. Pat especially loved time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons: Jamie Wanner and Ryan Wanner both of Watertown, SD; two daughters: Tracey and her husband, Christo Engelbrecht, and Terry Wanner all of Watertown, SD: one step-daughter, Beth Peterson of Grand Forks, ND; two brothers, Alan and his wife, Rose Beck, and Mike Beck and his special friend, Linda Kruthoff, all of Watertown, SD; one sister, Sandy and her husband, Daryl Johnson, of Watertown, SD and two grandchildren, Johnny, and Evah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents; two brothers and one sister.
