Michael G. Beck, age 68, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at his residence in Watertown. Celebration of life will be held at Cloud 9 on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The family request that those attending wear Minnesota Viking attire be worn for the service.

Michael Glenn Beck was born March 9, 1955, in Clear Lake, SD. He was the youngest child of Virgil Beck and Esther Schneider. Mike attended Deuel schools until a temporary move to Kingfisher OK. After returning to Clear Lake, he continued to attend high school where he was active in football. After high school, Mike worked odd jobs like building grain bins.

He met Sheila Ann Borns and they married at Grace Lutheran Church in November, 1980. On May 24, 1981 their only child, Heather, was born. They were devoted parents, although divorced in 2000.

Mike then began a strong and loyal relationship with Linda Kruthoff that continued to his death.
Mike worked for Minnesota Rubber for almost 40 years until it closed making many friends there along the way. He enjoyed visiting with these old friends whoever he could.

Mike loved his family most of all, except for during football season when they were slightly shoved aside for Vikings football. Mike was a homebody and liked spending time tinkering around. Mike and Linda traveled somewhat often to visit family and visited scenic places like the shores of California and Florida, and also visited Dallas.

Mike is survived by his daughter Heather; son-in-law Mufthas; grandson Zayd (all of Sri Lanka); His special friend Linda and her sons Dan and Brad; older sister Sandra (Daryl) Johnson; favorite nieces and nephews (as Mike would say: you know who you are); many great-nieces and great-nephews and even more great-great nieces and great-great nephews

Mike was predeceased by his mother and father; sisters Norma and Pat; brothers Lonie, Ken, and Al; nephews Jeff and Jamie; and niece Gina.
