OBIT NOTICE IN THE BIRMINGHAM POST-HERALD, SATURDAY, OCT. 5, 1974

CHARLES MARION SCOTT, 66, Pinson Rt. 2, died Thursday. A lifelong Jefferson County resident, Mr. Scott was a retired supervisor in the mineral wood plant of U.S. Pipe with 39 years service. He also was a member of the Palmerdale Police Auxiliary and the Palmerdale Civitan Club. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Palmerdale United Methodist Church with burial in Forest Hill, Roebuck Chapel directing. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Marie Scott; three sons, Billy Joe Scott and William R. Bland, both of Birmingham, and Jesse A. Webb Jr., Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Bishop and Mrs. Geraldine Tucker, both of Birmingham; three brothers, Clarence Scott, Long Beach, Calif., Thomas E. Scott, Dora, and Aron Scott, Shannon, and two sisters, Mrs. Ellender Watson, Dora, and Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes, Selma. Excerpts from Obit in The Birmingham News, Saturday, October 5, 1974.
