AKA: Violet Emily Kay Boyce

Father: William Kay
Mother: Emily "Emma" Elizabeth Violet Yates
Stepfather: Peter Boyce

Violet was the daughter of William Thomas Kay and Emily "Emma" Elizabeth Violet Yates Kay. Her twin brother is Thomas William Kay. Although some records show they were born three days apart to the same mother (not likely, although sometimes twin delivery has been known to be somewhat delayed...but three days apart)?!!! Some records show she went by the surname Boyce; however, Peter Boyce was actually her stepfather. Violet passed from this life May 14, 1884, in Provo, Utah.

-Source: Provo City Cemetery records | Special thanks to Barbara Fox for clarifying some family history concerning Violet.

Discrepancy: Birth date and place are in question. Recorded date (Dec. 3, 1873) is three days prior to her twin brother's birth...and in different towns, stating that she was born in Provo and three days later, he was born in Mona!!! Not very likely!
