From the SOUTH BEND (IN ) TRIBUNE, May 1, 1946:

Mrs. Theresa (Voros) Sinko, aged 71, of 1917 South Catalpa street, died at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph hospital after 12 days illness. She was born in Hungary Oct. 15, 1874 and came here 38 years ago from that country. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Dave Yanko, Mrs. Roy Lee, Mrs. Ross Landou, Mrs. Carl Horvath and Mrs. Joseph Horvath, all of South Bend; two sons, Frank Sinko of South Bend and Nicholas Sinko of Hungary; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and two sisters in Hungary.

Mrs. Sinko was a member of the Sacred Heart and Rosary societies of our Lady of Hungary Catholic church..

Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa (Voros) Sinko, of 1917 South Catalpa street, who died Wednesday, will be held Saturday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic church. Right Rev. Msgr. John Sabo, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. Friends may call in the residence of the daughter, Mrs. Dave Yanko, 1917 South Catalpa street. Due to misinformation given The Tribune, the names of two sons, Frank Voros of South Bend, and Nicholas Voros of Hungary, were listed as Frank and Nicholas in Wednesday's Tribune.

According to the 1920 federal census of South Bend, Indiana, " Mick" Voros, 50, born in Hungary, had immigrated in 1907 and his wife and children had followed the next year.

"Nicholas", 51, husband of "Theresia" Gruber Voros, died May 1, 1920, and was interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery. (St. Stephen Catholic Church death records)

On May 3, 1923, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, Terez Voros, a widow, married Rokus Sinko, a widower. Terez, daughter of Andrew & Terez/Lesla Marko Gruber, was born October 15, 1874 in Hungary. Rokus, son of Emory Sinko, was born August 15, 1873 in Hungary. (St. Joseph County, Indiana, marriage and marriage application records)
