From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, October 6, 1986:

Helen Yanko, 90, of 2926 E. Jefferson Blvd, formerly of 1917 Catalpa St., died at 2:20pm Sunday in her home after an illness.

Mrs. Yanko was born May 31, 1896, in Sopron Megye, Hungary, and moved to South Bend 78 years ago from Hungary. On July 22, 1916, in South Bend as Helen Voros, she married David Yanko. He died May 6, 1976.

She is survived by five daughters, Mary Orban, Helen Solnoky, Irene Mindykowski and Anne Cappert, all of Mishawaka, and Betty Blosser of South Bend; a son, David of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Gizella Horvath, Irene Horvath and Mary Landaw, all of South Bend.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society and the St Ann Society.
