TYRINGHAM--Mrs. Blanche G. Rouse, 85, of Tyringham Rd., widow of Alton Rouse, died in her home Friday night. A life-long resident, she had been a teacher in Tyringham School for many years. She leaves a niece, Miss Carolyn Canon of Tyringham and two nephews, W. Garfield Canon of Lee and J. Northrup Canon of Tyringham. Services will be held Monday at the Kelly funeral home in Lee at a time to be announced. Visiting hours at the funeral home are tonight from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

TYRINGHAM--Mrs. Blanche Garfield Rouse, 87, widow of Alton Rouse, died last night at her home here after a long illness.
Born in Tyringham May 23, 1873, she was the daughter of Wallace and Hannah Canon Garfield. She was the last survivor of the four Garfield sisters.
Mrs. Rouse was educated in local schools and graduated from Lee High and from Madame Kraus Kindergarten School in New York City. She later taught in Brooklyn, N.Y., Canaan, Conn., Norfolk, Conn., and Tyringham. She married Mr. Rouse in 1910.
Mr. Rouse was a longtime member of the Union Church of Tyringham and the Hop Brook Club.
She leaves a niece, Miss Carolyn Garfield Canon of Tyringham, and two nephews, J. Northrup Canon of Tyringham and W. Garfield Canon of Lee.
Friends may call at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Union Church.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 at the Union Church. Burial will be in the Tyringham Cemetery.
