Cedar Rapids Palma Johnson, 97, a resident of Heritage Acres Care Center died
Wednesday, January 12, 1994 at the Center following a brief illness. Services
were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Turner Chapel East in Cedar Rapids. Interment will
be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, at the Estherville Lutheran Cemetery.
The daughter of Ben and Sophie (Engelbritson [Ingebritson]) Peterson, she was
born August 30, 1896 at Estherville and married Sevrin [Severin] Johnson May 30,
1923 at Springfield, S.D. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Boardman of Cedar Rapids; a
daughter-in-law, Virginia Johnson of Estherville; seven grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.,
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, four brothers and a
