Mrs. Chester Dowden

Funeral services for Mrs. Chester Dowden were held Monday at 10 a. m. in the Methodist church at Lakeview, Rev. Russell Murphy, pastor, in charge, assisted by Rev. Chas. Rex.

Mrs. Dowden's death occurred December 31, 1926, at the family's farm home, near Maplewood, where Mrs. Dowden gave birth December 12th to a baby boy, after which double pneumonia developed in the mother's condition and caused death. With the husband, who is a sufferer of diabetes, she leaves six children, the eldest 10 years, the baby three weeks old.

The body was conveyed New Year's Day to the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Taylor's home, on the Stringtown pike, where it remained until time of funeral. Besides the husband and children there remains to grieve the loss of this dear one, the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Taylor; two sisters, Mrs. John Kennedy of near Bellefontaine, Mrs. Charles Fox; two brothers, Hover and Horace Taylor of Lakeview. Burial was made in the Lewistown-Plum cemetery.
